Chimney Inspections & Sweeping

 

 

NFPA 211 has 3 levels of inspections. We provide a level 1 inspection with every sweep (unless we're asked not to). We can also provide a level 2 inspection upon request, which includes digital scanning of the flue and provides the homeowner with a written typed inspection report with pictures.

Our CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps use state-of-the-art equipment to inspect and sweep 1st- and 2nd-story wood-burning chimneys. We look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system.

Dryer Vent Inspections, Delinting & Replacement

 

In addition to servicing chimneys, we inspect and clean dryer vents in one- and two-story homes. A thorough delinting by one of our dryer exhaust technicians includes searching for any issues that might interfere with optimal operation. Highly effective diagnostic tools allow us to detect and resolve issues before they become problems.

Rebuild Fireplaces
Water damage resulting from a missing chimney cap is all too common. We remedy this situation by reconstructing the back walls of fireplaces, returning them to their original pristine condition.

Repair Crowns / Splay Wash
Improperly built crowns are another common problem. If yours is cracked or poorly constructed—allowing water penetration —we’ll repair it with crown coat that’s guaranteed not to crack.

Install Chimney Caps
The best way to prevent moisture from rain and animals, leaves, and other debris from entering your chimney is to install a chimney cap. Our high-quality stainless steel flue caps carry a lifetime warrantee. Though it usually cost more for the investment - a full sized custom chimney cap is probably the best long term investment for you chimney.

Replace Chase Tops
Leaky or damaged chase tops are potential hazards on prefabricated metal fireplaces. We help eliminate problems before they start by replacing rusty metal chase tops. Aluminum (.040 gauge) mil finish metal is usally used - however copper, stainless or galvanized metals are available.

Water Leak & Condensation Resolution & Repair
If water is damaging your fireplace inside or out, we’ll find and fix it—no matter the source.

 Dead Animal Removal
If squirrels, raccoons, birds, or other pests have made a home in your chimney or duct, we’ll eliminate the problem, removing the animals and their nesting materials, and preventing future infestation.
